Farnsworth Group is seeking a Civil Engineering Manager in our Peoria, IL office. In this role, you will focus on supporting community projects in water/wastewater/stormwater engineering as well as the planning, design, and management of various civil engineering projects.

Job Activities
Support Municipal related project development
Staff development and supervision
Design and review IDOT, county & municipal transportation needs.
Design and Review of water, wastewater and storm related projects.
Manage projects from inception to completion
Develop and maintain relationships with state and local authorities.
Conceptual design of storm water BMPs.
Oversee and execute permits related to Agencies such as IDNR, IEPA, NPDES, IDNR floodplains, and USACE wetlands.
Collaborate with other Farnsworth Group disciplines and client consultants
Attend city staff and council/ board meetings
Communicate with clients regarding current projects and develop future projects
Organize and complete projects from inception to completion
Develop and mentor staff and collaborate with the entire Civil team
Prepare project proposals

Specific Requirements
BS in Civil Engineering
15 - 20 years of civil engineering experience
Professional Engineer (PE) License
Proven leadership skills with engineering staff
Ability to effectively manage clients and participate in business development activities
Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills
Strong team player that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously
Contract and negotiating skills
